Because of this its harder for me to get a shot like this where the fish is completely out in the open when you find them. This is another scorpion fish that is nasty to touch but the "leaf" profile is kinda cool.

This reduces the amount of junk/particles/swimming critters that might blur the shot. I like the clarity on this one.

Finger Coral, Komodo, Indonesia31 viewsThis shot was taken in about 20 foot of water on a day when everyone else went down to about 60 feet to see larger fish. The current was rippin' down there so I found a shallow place where I could get a few wide angle shots. As it turns out, right after this I went around a corner and it was a rodeo ride for the rest of the dive.

Pigmy Seahorse, Wakatobi Dive Resort, Indonesia25 viewsOne of the main reasons that I went to Indonesia was to see these guys. They are very small (like about 3/8") and they hide in sea fans that look exactly like them. My dive guide Irwin pointed these out for many days before I was able to find them myself. Really hard to get good shots of as they typically turn their back to you if you put a light near them. This is a rare shot of 2 of them.

I started taking shots of it and noticed that it was really good at swimming backwards. It wasn't until about the 3 shot that I realized I was taking pictures of his tail. May 20, 2007
