Getting the Saeed and Friend Shot31 viewsI met Dale and Tracy and Saeed on the Galapagos boat in 2007. Saeed got the idea to lay down next to the sleeping sea lion and we all jumped on getting the shot. Dale Moran has a gift for photographic composition (I just have to convince Tracy to let him spend their life savings on photo gear and he'll be hooked). Rather than try to get the Saeed and friend shot, Dale got a vantage point and took this shot of us mucking about. Saeed was trying to stay clear of the snarling sealion.

Taking a Photo of a Trumpetfish Upside Down Underwater16 viewsMy dive buddy James took this shot of me in Belize. This should give you some idea of the difficulty associated with underwater photography. It's very important that you don't hit the coral or reefs as they're delicate and easily damaged. So, sometimes all you can do is get upside down. Remember this shot the next time you think you're having difficulty focusing on land.... try it upside down in 60 foot of water!!
