Ambon Scorpion Fish, Komodo, Indonesia24 viewsAnother clump of grass, sand, dirt, and rocks sitting on the bottom waiting to sting the crap outta you.

Bubble Ring26 viewsI've spent some time working on my bubble ring blowing skills.... this is a pretty good one. The cool thing about them is if you can get one that is a complete circle, it will expand and get bigger as it asends to the surface. Personally, I don't think you should be allowed to become a dive guide unless you can blow a good bubble ring.

Finger Coral, Komodo, Indonesia31 viewsThis shot was taken in about 20 foot of water on a day when everyone else went down to about 60 feet to see larger fish. The current was rippin' down there so I found a shallow place where I could get a few wide angle shots. As it turns out, right after this I went around a corner and it was a rodeo ride for the rest of the dive.

Cuttlefish, Komodo, Indonesia42 viewsCuttlefish are one of the cool out of this world guys you get to see. Sometimes, if you're around where they're laying eggs, they will hang out with you and change colors and wave at you with their tentacles...

Komodo Dancer Boat, Komodo, Indonesia30 viewsOn our way back to the harbor the ship had the sails up. We all piled into the smaller boats and blasted around the boat taking photos for awhile.

Demon Stinger, Komodo, Indonesia39 viewsThis guy gets my vote for the ugliest reason to never touch anything. Typical scorpion fish camoflouge capability but really nasty looking. This guy as fins that he uses as feet to walk around. To give you some help, first find his eye in the middle of the shot, then look down and to the right for the mouth, then try to imagine what other scorpion fish look like and re-construct the rest of him...

Durban "Dancing" Shrimp, Komodo, Indonesia29 viewsAlso called hinge beak shrimp, these guys are called dancing shrimp because they seem to be in constant motion. They are also curious and will climb up on your hand if you place it near them.

Komodo Dragon, Komodo Island, Indonesia35 viewsIn case you're wondering, this guy was probably about 7 foot in length. Those claws area about as big as my fingers.

Komodo Dragon, Komodo Island, Indonesia26 viewsThey say that these guys can run in fast sprints at 40 MPH or so.... I was kinda thinking about that as this guy was looking at me.
