Our friends at Air Shasta Rotor and Wing are  not
only a Robinson helicopter dealer and service center
north of San
Francisco, they also own a former dude ranch that is nestled at the
base of Caribou Lakes in the trinity wilderness

 The
photo to the left is a small lake that can
be found in front of Uncle Dave's main lodge house. About a 4
hour Drive
from Redding California, we are able to get there in just 30 minutes
from the Air Shasta offices on the Redding municipal airport.
River Rafting
and Swimming
There's plenty of river rafting fun to be
found in the Lake Shasta area. The Kalmath and Salmon
rivers are
as clean and pure
as they come and the trees are green so the air is
wonderful. Shasta, Trinity, and Whiskeytown lakes provide people
with plenty of
recreational options.
Mount Shasta
Probably one of the key destinations in the
area is Mount Shasta which is a volcano that
is part of the Cascade
Range,
a chain of volcanic cones, extends through  Washington
and Oregon into California. Either the
folks at Air
Shasta Rotor and Wing or Matty Chopper can take you on flights around
the 14,000 foot mountain that can be seen for miles.
Trout Fly Fishing
Our friends at Henderson Springs in Big
Bend California run an up-scale, exclusive fly fishing lodge with its
own private, 500 acre access to some of the best catch and release
trout fishing available.
