The Yosemite Area
Matty Chopper helicopter tours has strong
roots in the Yosemite because this is  where
we live.
Our home is just outside of Yosemite park in the town of Coarsegold
California. While helicopters are not allowed in the park, there
are dozens of other places of interest locally and we'd
be delighted to
provide you with other ways to spice up your trip to see
Yosemite.
Bass Lake
Probably one of the best places we have ever
gone swimming is Bass Lake. See our friends at Millers Landing to rent
patio boats, wave runners, and other fun water toys. One
half of
this pristine sierra
mountain lake is still mostly park area and it's
remarkably uncrowded most of the year.
Kaiser
Wilderness Area
Unless you're a hardcore
backpacker and hiker,
you're not going to get to see most of the
equally  spectacular rock
formations in this area unless you're in a helicopter. Our base
of operations is just a quick 15 minute flight to these impressive rock
formations that are reminiscent of those found in
the Yosemite valley.
Hiking In Yosemite
The good news is that
Yosemite National Park is an amazing wonder of the world, the bad news is that
the only way to get in there is to drive and if you don't get going
early, you'll blow too much of your day just driving in and out of the
